Manitou Island Bird Survey 2004 Season

HOUGHTON -- Joseph Youngman, director of the Manitou Island Bird Survey, will present "The Manitou Island Bird Survey 2003 and Beyond," a slide show and talk, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 16, in the MTU Forestry Building, Rm. G002. Youngman, along with Dana Richter, Copper Country Audubon president, note that the 2004 Survey will begin in April with monitoring spring raptor migration at Manitou Island, in Lake Superior near the Keweenaw Tip. Youngman recently received a Michigan Audubon Society Mini-Grant for survey equipment. more
