Cross-country skiing winds up challenging year

CALUMET
-- Jon Neufeld, president of the Copper Island Ski Club, says grooming at
Swedetown will continue "until we run out of snow or until all the skiers
are out biking." Despite a challenging season of unusual weather, volunteer
participation and support have helped make Keweenaw cross-country skiing fun for

editorial finds Mt. Bohemia business practice "despicable"

HOUGHTON -- A March 27 Michigan Tech Lode editorial says Mt.
Bohemia's Mardi Gras Madness party on March 16 was "despicable"
business practice since it allowed a violation of a Michigan law on public
nudity. The editorial says Mt. Bohemia should have screened patrons for
identification to prevent minors from attending the event. Also on this
