Thanks to all who helped kids have Christmas
Dear Editor,
I would like to thank all the people who helped again this year with our "No Kid Without a Christmas" program. Once again the people of Keweenaw came out strong and made this a very nice Christmas for 78 children who would have had nothing or very little for Christmas without their help. The support for this program is great, and it is sure heartwarming to see how people in our area truly care about their neighbor.

So again I would like to thank all the individuals who helped with their donations and the Eagle Harbor Inn, the Target Stores of Marquette, Slim's Cafe, Zik's Bar, the Cliff View Bar, the employees at the Mohawk Early Childhood Development Center, Mohawk Sand and Gravel, the Keweenaw County Courthouse Employees and the employees and volunteers at the Family Independence Agency who help us identify the children in need. Thank you all very much.
Ronald Lahti
Keweenaw County Sheriff
