In front of the Courthouse in Eagle River, the Copper Country Polka Band,
also known as the Keweenaw Clown Band, welcomed Gov. Granholm with their lively
tunes.

Keweenaw County Commissioner Don Keith welcomed Gov. Granholm to Eagle River.
In the background is Jane Griffith, co-founder of North Woods Conservancy, which
has partnered with Keweenaw County on conservation issues, especially the
creation of the County Park at the mouth of the Gratiot River.
