PUBLIC NOTICE
TO
DISTRICT 2 RESIDENTS

The Houghton County Board of Commissioners will accept applications to fill
the vacant position of Houghton County Commissioner for District 2.
The minimum qualifications are that the applicant is a resident and
registered voter of Franklin Township, Hancock Township, Osceola Township,
Schoolcraft Township or Torch Lake Township which make up District 2.
Applications are available at the Houghton County Controller's Office,
Houghton County Courthouse, 401 E. Houghton Ave., Houghton, MI 49931.
Deadline for submitting applications is Friday, June 7, 2002, at 12:00 noon.
