for Audubon's 104th annual National Christmas Bird Count (CBC) on Saturday, Dec. 20.
Nancy Auer, Houghton County CBC compiler, says the focus this year is on the health of boreal birds which appear to be in decline. These counts have become vital tools in monitoring the status of resident and migratory birds.
