Keweenaw Krayons at the Ramblin' Rose Gallery in Mohawk offers Art
Classes and a variety of activities. Visit the Keweenaw Krayons Web site
for details.
The Community Arts Center is beginning work on its Labyrinth Project
at the foot of the Lift Bridge in Hancock. A turtle rock sculpture, earth-construction seating, and natural landscaping are planned for the site; local artists are involved in the project and leading volunteer crews. The public is invited to participate in this project by helping to build the stone sculpture, learning the technique of cob construction, helping with the planting and garden maintenance or donating regional and/or drought-tolerant perennials.
No special skills or knowledge are required, and all ages and abilities are
welcome. Stop in any time you see people working there, or call Karen or Cynthia at the Arts Center at 482-2333 for the current activity schedule.
