Is It Art? Through Jan. 31. Omphale Gallery, 431 5th St., Calumet. A
theme exhibition featuring an eccentric grouping of multi-media and installation
work by regional artists, co-curated by Harriet Mayer King and Randy Wakeham. Opening
reception 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Friday, January 10. Witness genre-imploding art,
sensory-warping live music and mind-blowing food. This event is free and open to
the public. Omphale is a not-for-profit art gallery supported by community
donations and facilitated by volunteers. Gallery hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10 a.m.
