"Two Sisters and the Sky": Noted sculptor and installation artist, Yeshe Helander of Duluth, Minnesota, will display this installation/exhibition from June 11 - July 25 at the Finlandia University Finnish-American Heritage Center gallery, 601 Quincy St., Hancock. The project provides an opportunity for people in the area and beyond to create tributes to those they have lost in death. Gallery hours: weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This activity is supported by the Copper Country Community Arts Council and is a program of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs. Other support comes from the Community Coalition on Grief and Bereavement and Keweenaw Home Nursing and Hospice. For information call: 487-7376.

"A Sparse Crowd" paintings by Mike Argeropulos: Through June at the Kerredge Gallery in the Community Arts Center, 126 Quincy Street in Hancock. Gallery hours: Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information call 482-2333.

Work of Edith Marshall: June exhibit at the Copper Country Associated Artists' Gallery, 307 6th St., Calumet. Gallery open Thursdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Paintings by Susan Robinson are at The Einerlei Up North May 29 through June 12.

Cynthia Cote's "Books" and Ed Gray's "Pit Fired Pottery": The Portage Lake District Library. Hours are 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Nature Studies of the UP in pen and ink by Joyce Koskenmaki: Through June 24 at Superior National Bank, 235 Quincy St., Hancock. Bank hours:  Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Work of Laura Willis: Marie's Deli & Gallery, 518 Shelden Ave., Houghton.

Works by Dylan McConnell and Kara Matheson: Omphale Gallery, Fifth St Calumet, through June 26. Hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturday, noon - 4 p.m.

Work of Kanak Nanavati: Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center's Healing Connection Gallery. Open 7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m..
