"Two Sisters and the Sky": Noted sculptor and installation
artist, Yeshe Helander of Duluth, Minnesota, will display this
installation/exhibition from June 11 - July 25 at the Finlandia University
Finnish-American Heritage Center gallery, 601
Quincy St., Hancock. The project provides an opportunity for people in the area
and beyond to create tributes to those they have lost in death. Gallery hours: weekdays,
8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. This activity is supported by the Copper Country Community
Arts Council and is a program of the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural
Affairs. Other support comes from the Community Coalition on Grief and
Bereavement and Keweenaw Home Nursing and Hospice. For information call: 487-7376.
