CHASSELL -- "The howl of a Timber Wolf, the passion of an autumn storm on the big lake, the deep quiet of a verdant forest"….these are the images brought to mind when we think of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Steve Brimm, a professional nature photographer, has photographed the Upper Peninsula for about twelve years. His photography has won numerous awards and is regularly featured in regional and national magazines, books and calendars. He has shared those images at galleries, art shows and exhibitions. Now he has gathered many of those images into a beautiful hardcover art book celebrating "a place with the wisdom of old-growth timber, the calm of a thick blanket of snow, the haunting song of the
loon." Steve's new book -- Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Spirit of Place --
is now available at the Einerlei in Chassell and Einerlei up north in downtown Houghton.
On Saturday afternoon, August 7th, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., admirers of Steve's work may visit with the photographer/author at the Einerlei in Chassell.
