Sat., 6/28, 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Keweenaw Krayons Traditions Alive Straw Hat Making with Fiber Artist  Becky Weeks. Ramblin' Rose Arts Center, Mohawk. 337-4706. Participants are invited to bring their own flowers, shells and whatever other decorations they'd like to put on their new hat. Flowers will also be available for purchase the day of the class. Some Keweenaw Krayons Traditions Alive students will be taking the workshop also and will be making their hats in the style of the early 1900s. Mon., June 30. A “Clay Class for Kids” begins at the Community Arts Center in Hancock, continuing  through July 28. This eight-week class will be offered as a beginning session for kids ages 9-12 and as an intermediate class for kids ages 12 and over. The beginning class will focus on hand-building techniques and will meet Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. - noon. The intermediate class will include working on the wheel, and will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 2 p.m. Class size is limited for both sessions.
