Sat. 12/21. Walk for Peace, leaving from the Motherlode at noon. "Freedom from want; freedom from fear and terror; peace for all people of all faiths and nations" is the theme of this walk, sponsored by the Copper Country Peace Alliance. Everyone who supports a diplomatic, non-violent resolution of the conflict with Iraq is invited to participate. For more information, call 288-3181.

The theme for this week's walk is "A New Year and a strengthened resolve to work harder for peace."
