the chalet at 9 a.m. Volunteers will use hand tools to snip brush from the edges
of the trail that cannot be mowed. If you can join us, wear boots and gloves,
and bring a long handled lopper if you have one, or use one from the ski club.

Sat. 10/26. Noon to 3 p.m. The Keweenaw Nordic Ski Club will host an
Open House at the new Maasto Hiihto Ski Chalet, located at the Hancock Driving
Park, just north of the Houghton County Arena, at the top of Birch Street. The
building was funded by a grant from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources
and by the City of Hancock. The ski club will serve refreshments and will hold a
drawing for a free season pass. Passes will also be on sale during the open
house.
