Community Arts Center to hold Holiday Open House Dec. 12
HANCOCK -- The Community Arts Center in Hancock will hold a Holiday Open
House from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Live music, shopping, free gift
wrapping, a Parade of Confections and a Silent Gift Auction will be part of the
festivities. The event will also be a reception for the Kerredge Gallery's
"Small" exhibit of art work from private collections.

Known as "A Big Show of Small Art," the exhibit includes work by
several local artists, including Jennifer Daryl Slack, curator of the show;
Cynthia Coté, Arts Center director; Phyllis
Fredendall of Finlandia's International School of Art and Design; Joyce
Koskenmaki; Yana Weglarz; Yeshe Helander; Gianfranco Archimede; Ed Andrzejewski
and others, including unknown artists.

Visitors can also view student work from Bridge School in the Youth Gallery
at the Center.
During the Open House, the Parade of Confections will be a live auction of
extraordinary desserts created by local restaurants and individuals. A Silent
Gift Auction will offer fabulous art gifts donated by local artists.

The Community Arts Center is at 126 Quincy Street, Hancock. Regular hours are
10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tuesday- Friday and 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday.
