Guest writer Wynn Johnson is a student at Michigan Technological University. He is majoring in English in the Department of Humanities, where he also works as an office assistant.
Originally from Reese, Mich. by way of Ann Arbor, Cleveland, and San Juan Puerto Rico, Wynn is now living in Hancock. He enjoys shopping for healthful food at the Keweenaw Co-op and reading the novels of John Updike, his favorite author.
Wynn notes his many interests include "classic literature, movies with subtitles, the guitar and music written by people who are fed up with the system."

Trial on Saturday, bikers came from as far away as Texas for Sunday's 16- and
