Janet Shea

Janet Shea Email: jshea@pasty.com

Guest writer and photographer Janet Shea is a resident of Eagle Harbor Township and a Copper Harbor business owner since 1988. Her husband, Jim, is from Keweenaw County. Originally from the Northwest (Washington, Oregon and Northern Idaho) she brings with her a love for the outdoors and an appreciation of the beauty of Keweenaw.

Janet has been voluntarily maintaining several websites -- namely copperharbor.org (until recently); keweenawland.com,  which is a reference library for people interested in land use planning; and copperharbor.net, which is under development.

A member of the Keweenaw County Zoning/Planning Commission and the Eagle Harbor Township and Grant Township Land Use Planning Steering Committees, Janet often attends local government board meetings. She is especially interested in bringing the urgency and logic of land use planning to the public's attention and would be glad to answer questions regarding the ongoing land use efforts in Keweenaw County. You can contact her at jshea@pasty.com.
