About Our Authors
Bob Olsgard works as the coordinator of the Lake Superior Alliance for whom he edits and publishes its journal,
Superior Vision. His writing has also appeared in Orion Afield.
The Lake Superior Alliance is an organization made up of environmental groups
and individual members from both Canadian and United States communities. The
Alliance was formed to monitor and promote the goals of the Lake Superior
Binational Program, a special multi-governmental program designed to make Lake
Superior a Zero Discharge Demonstration Zone for persistent toxic pollutants and
ecosystem protection.
Bob keeps us posted on issues affecting Lake Superior both in Canada and the
U.S. His Superior Vision publication, now online in pdf format through
the Lake Superior Alliance Web site,
as well as printed and distributed around the lake, covers concerns ranging from
coaster brook trout to pollution from power plants.
Making his home in northern Wisconsin, Bob also finds time to get involved in
land use planning in his own community.
